Auroboutique is a part of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry.  Sri Aurobindo Ashram is a community started by Sri Aurobindo Gosh in Puducherry. Auroboutique was started by the blessings of The Divine Mother on 12/05/1969 to sell items made by Ashram inmates. After the demise of the devotee who looked after Auroboutique, the shop was closed for a long period of time.

Later, in the year 2006 on 15 January, again the Boutique was started with fresh thoughts and energetic workers. The main goal of this second innings is to sell the products made by Sri Aurobindo Ashram Handmade Paper Factory, Sri Aurobindo Ashram Departments like Auroshikha, Cottage Industries, Laboratoires Senteurs, Batik etc and miscellaneous craft items done by Ashram community. The Ashram community, now have spread their wings in various sectors in manufacturing and marketing. Sri Aurobindo Ashram Udyog Trust now handles all the commercial units of Sri Aurobindo Ashram Trust, Puducherry.
