Maison Perumal, a 130-year-old heritage building, was originally a traditional Tamil family residence constructed during the French colonial era. This double-storied building, meticulously renovated by INTACH Puducherry, showcases a captivating blend of Tamil Nadu’s vernacular architecture and colonial influences.

As a classic Tamil traditional house, Maison Perumal features distinctive elements such as a mutrum (central courtyard), thinnai (raised platform), balconies, and a lush plant garden. The property’s restoration has carefully preserved its minimalist elegance, highlighted by stained glass accents, traditional red oxide flooring, and antique furniture that exudes timeless charm.

A Stay That Feels Like Home

Maison Perumal offers 10 beautifully appointed double rooms, each infused with the charm of a bygone era. Our rooms are categorized into three types: Standard, Deluxe Premium, and Deluxe Luxury. Each room is equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, cozy bedding, en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold-water facilities, flat-screen TV, mini-bar, and a personal safe. To ensure a comfortable stay, we also provide guests with bathrobes, slippers, and a selection of herbal teas.

The Standard rooms are priced at INR 15,800 per night, while the Deluxe Premium and Deluxe Luxury rooms are priced at INR 16,700 and INR 18,500 per night, respectively. Please note that prices may vary slightly depending on the season, with peak season rates applying from December to February and off-season rates applying from April to September. Guests can check-in at 14:00 pm and check-out at 11:00 am, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The menu showcases the best of Tamil Nadu’s culinary heritage, from fresh yams and drumsticks to locally sourced seafood infused with regional spices. Even classic international dishes are given a unique twist. Guests can enjoy meals in the charming courtyard restaurant or savor cocktails at the bar, which is open from 10 am to 10 pm.
