Temple Adventures
Temple Adventures is a scuba diving tour agency located in Colas Nagar, just 1 km from the white town of Pondicherry. It was established in 2008 by Rob Partridge and Dave Hearn in Mahabalipuram and shifted base to Pondicherry in 2009. After becoming a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) dive center in 2010, the center has continued to grow and offer a range of scuba diving activities for all levels. It offers a variety of activities, including scuba diving, kayaking, an ocean boat cruise, mangrove boat rides, paddle boating, and dive equipment rental. The center is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, from beginners to experts.
Temple Adventures is a 5-star PADI-certified dive center that follows strict safety standards and uses state-of-the-art equipment. Temple Adventures has over 20 dive sites, including rocky outcrops, interesting shipwrecks, and natural and man-made coral reefs, with depths ranging from 5 to 40 meters. The diving site in Pondicherry boasts clear waters and diverse marine life, providing an incredible opportunity to explore the underwater world. Some of the species that can be seen include manta rays, sea turtles, and a variety of colorful fish.
The center offers beginner’s courses, open-water dives, and specialized dives for advanced divers, as well as PADI certification courses and 1-day programs for non-swimmers. They also provide accommodation options for divers, including tents and rooms at their eco-friendly camp, which is conveniently located near the Auroville Beach and easily accessible from Pondicherry city.

* Experience Program
no swimming skills required. Day 1: Basic skills in a pool and paperwork. Day 2: Ocean dive up to 12m depth. Course cost: INR 7,500 (incl. GST), with equipment rental, snacks, water, and instructor fee. Complimentary underwater photography available."
* PADI Open Water Course
3-day certified course Swim skills required: 200m swim or 300m snorkel test and 10-min float. Day 1: Paperwork, theory, and pool training. Day 2-3: 2 open water dives each day. Course cost: INR 40,000 (incl. GST), includes equipment rental, snacks, breakfast, instructor fee, PADI certification, and boat ride." After completing the course, you'll be a certified PADI diver able to dive up to 18 meters with a buddy or professional.
* PADI Advanced Open Water course
Advance your scuba diving skills with this course, featuring deep diving, navigation, and buoyancy training. Complete 5 dives, including mandatory deep and navigation dives, plus 3 specialty dives of your choice. Options include: - Peak performance buoyancy, - Fish identification, - Underwater Photography, - Search and Recovery, - Underwater Naturalist, - Wreck Diving, - Dive against Debris and more. Course cost: INR 30,000 (incl. GST).
* Couple's Private Scuba Diving
Experience a custom-made Discover Scuba Diving for couples with a private classroom, pool session, and a romantic sea dive on a private boat. After the dive, enjoy a smooth cruise with cake, chocolates, and strawberries. Course cost: INR 35,000 (incl. GST).
* Fun diving for certified divers
This is for those who want to experience casual diving in mainland India. A copy of your certification is required to take this dive. Course cost: INR 7,000 - INR 8,501 (incl. GST).
