Ousteri Lake, also known as Osudu Lake or Ossudu Lake, is a captivating freshwater haven nestled approximately 11 km from the picturesque white town of Puducherry. The lake was declared a bird sanctuary by the Government of India and recognised as an important wetland by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).
